Candy Trail Run – Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k
November 3, 2018
At Millican Reserve
Get a head start on burning off all the candy (or eating all the candy) on National Candy Day. Whats better than running for candy!
I am very sorry but we have to change venue. To keep these runs affordable (which is my mission statement) I am currently unable to work with Lake Bryan. I have to move the run to Millican Reserve do to venue cost. In light of the decrease in my cost (I increased cost to account for additional cost of hosting the event at Lake Bryan but due to additional restrictions recently placed on the event) I am including additional swag with entry.
I will do my best to make the routes unique to this race.

10k Map (will vary some)
There will be fully stocked aid stations every 3-4 miles on the longer courses. It is strongly encouraged to carry a bottle and food with you, some sections will take longer than expected.
Each aid station will have more candy than anyone could possibly eat, Water, Tailwind, Huma, Coke, Chips, Pretzels, and Electrolyte Supplements. If it is hot, we will have ice, ice water and Sponges. If it is cold, we will have warm food for the longer distances.
This race will be cup-less! That means there will be no cups for any liquids on the course. This helps us to minimize our footprint and maintain sustainability. It is strongly encouraged to bring a bottle to fill and have between aid stations. Some parts of the course can take much longer than it looks on paper.
Overall and Age-group awards will be given to top 3 finishers of each race.
Every 10 years after that, as high as we need to go.
Every participant will receive a tri-blend shirt (guaranteed to those registered by October 22, extra shirts will be ordered but if we run out we will have some other awesome swag for you to choose from). Also included in registration will be food, beverages, and finisher’s award.
New Terracon Recovery Tent:
The New Terracon Recovery Tent will now be at all races! This will feature pneumatic compression pants for post race recovery, and recovery beverages. The tent will be manned by volunteers from Lone Star Running Project. While it is free to use, they will be taking donations for Lone Star Running Project.
Additionally: College Station Physical Therapy and Performance will be onsite in the recovery tent offering free injury assessments, pre and post race stretching, and they will have a few giveaways. CSPT helps runners in the Brazos Valley recover from injuries, get back out on the roads/trails and hit their PRs.
To be entered into the drawing, stop by the tent and enter your name. Some prizes will include t-shirts, a free treatment session, and a mobility/recovery goodie bag. So make sure you stop by the tent and see how they can help you out.
